A third of adults don’t wash their hands after they use the bathroom. Two thirds don’t wash their hands after sneezing or coughing. And with germs able to survive up to 48 hours on some surfaces, whatever doesn’t get washed off will end up on door handles, tables, remote controls, dishes, and light switches–and will be passed from person to person.
